There was so much hype, attention, emphasis, and chat about weight loss it was totally impossible for my to try to loose any of the weight on my own. If anything this made me want to rebel and 'settle' for being obese; not only but I developed a since of 'fat person pride'.
There are many misconceptions about obesity including
- There is no anonymity in seeking help for weight loss.
- There is no way to connect with others in the similar situation without risking 'exposure'
- You have to order you meals from 1800 numbers and buy lots of vitamins, weight loss supplements.
- The only way to combat the extremely exaggerated prices of purchasing these items is to risk more exposure of going to the store and sitting in the line as well as checkout with people staring you down like you ripped food out of there kids mouths.
- Or even better you might get a look from someone else suffering from a different type of obesity. The 800 lb, purchasing Twinkies, if i am contently fat - do so on purpose - i am more like a 'skinny person' because i dislike fat people.
- Next up are the people who weigh 90 lbs, throw up there food, and talk to you in public about how fat the 'both' of you are.
In today's age everything has changed and gone digital, and so has being obese.
Believe it or relive it, there is a cult like following of obese people on the internet who all help each other and chat (talk online to others), not help with weight loss, but help with loss of other aspects of life being affected and also help with the real current situation, being obese. There is no immediate fix to weight loss, and the change will never happen over night so support is needed to 'be obese'. Support for the state you are in not instructions, punishment, chastisement, or ridicule. You are not able to think or even comprehend weight loss if you can not figure out how to live with yourself inside of your current state. Some people have medical conditions and can never loose ANY weight; the weight loss amount verses the amount of effort required makes it either impossible or discouraging due to requiring more effort than others.
What is the best solution?
Where can I chat with other people suffering from obesety?
LOOK and stop condemning your self. Google is your friend, this might be the first step to helping yourself. It is everybody's debt to society to attempt to help themselfs before asking for outside assistance.
There are sites online for people to chat about weight loss, forums where you can talk to others for support, and even dating / singles sites to meet people you are able to feel more conferable around and you might even learn some new skinny people jokes [=
